The Chin Refugee Committee Learning Centre (CRCLR) is a community-funded school created to fill the educational needs of refugee children living in an area without any other educational resources for them. Currently, there are 67 children attending the school with ages ranging from 2-10 years old. The CRC works closely with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) to facilitate their operations. Many of the children living in the area served by the CRC Learning Centre could not have any schooling in the past couple of years due to the MCO lockdowns caused by the Coronavirus outbreak, so their need for education is even greater as they are behind in their schooling. The right to education is a fundamental human right, without which the situation for displaced refugees becomes even direr as their children are already at a disadvantage in society. It is with the hope that no refugee child should be left behind as uneducated that the CRC Learning Centre was created and runs.
